This article helps when you want to cancel but cannot find the right subscription, when your subscription was bought through a mobile app, or when the Cancel button shows an error. For the basic steps, see our guide How to Cancel Your WriteHuman Subscription. This article extends it to cover the tricky cases.
The quick cancel path
Most subscriptions can be canceled by you in a few clicks:
Sign in at writehuman.ai with the same method you used to subscribe (email, Google, or Apple).
Open My Account and click Cancel Subscription.
Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
Canceling stops all future renewals. Your paid features stay active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and then billing stops. Canceling does not refund the current period.
I cannot find which subscription to cancel
If you are being charged but the account you are viewing shows the Free plan, the paid subscription is almost always tied to a different sign-in. The two most common reasons are:
The subscription is on a different email than the one you are logged in with.
A second account was created (for example during a separate sign-up), and the paid plan lives on that account.
Try this first
Sign out, then sign back in with any other email address you may have used.
If you signed up with Google or Apple, try that sign-in method too, since it may map to a different email.
Reload the page after signing in and check whether the paid plan now appears.
If you still cannot find it, let support locate it for you
Our team can find the subscription from the payment details and cancel it. To help us match it quickly, please include:
Any email address you may have used to sign up.
The last 4 digits of the card that was charged.
The amount of the charge.
The date of the charge.
A bank statement screenshot that shows the billing descriptor also helps. Please do not send your full card number. The last 4 digits are enough.
Subscribed through the mobile app? Cancel in the App Store or Google Play
If you subscribed inside the WriteHuman iOS or Android app (for example with Apple Pay or Google Play), that subscription is managed by Apple or Google, not on our website. You will not see a way to cancel it in the web billing portal. To stop it:
iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select WriteHuman, and choose Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select WriteHuman, and choose Cancel.
Because Apple and Google handle these charges, any billing questions about an app store subscription may also need to go through Apple or Google support.
The Cancel button shows an error
The normal cancel flow (open My Account, choose Cancel Subscription, and confirm) should work. In the past, some customers saw one of these instead:
A message that says "No subscription found. Please contact us."
The Cancel Subscription button leads to a Not Found page.
If you do run into an error like this or cannot complete the cancellation, you do not need to keep retrying. Contact our team and we can cancel the subscription for you and confirm that no future charges will be made. When you write in, it helps to include the details listed above (a possible email, the last 4 digits of the card, the charge amount, and the charge date) so we can find the right subscription fast.
Not sure the charge is even from WriteHuman?
A WriteHuman charge appears on your statement under the descriptor WRITEHUMAN.AI. Several unrelated companies use similar names, and a charge from a different merchant is not from us and cannot be canceled by us. If your statement shows a different business name, that subscription belongs to that other company, and you would need to contact their support to cancel it. If you are unsure, send us a screenshot of the billing descriptor and we will help you tell them apart.
What canceling does and does not do
It stops future renewals so your card is not charged again for the next period.
Your paid features stay active until the end of the current paid period, then billing stops.
If you want your saved card taken off the account entirely, ask support and we can remove it to prevent further charges.
Canceling is not the same as a refund. Subscription purchases are non-refundable in all regions, and canceling stops future renewals but does not refund the period you already paid for.
Still need help?
If you are stuck on any of the above, email us at [email protected] or use the in-app chat, and our team will help you cancel and confirm that no further charges will be made. We reply during business hours.
